At Aerospace Tech Week, Andre Odermatt, Principal Application Engineer at Real-Time Innovations (RTI) joined for a brief discussion on emerging trends and the key challenges faced in aerospace testing.
Speaking on the challenges, Odermatt noted the escalating complexity of software and systems, distributed manufacturing spread across multiple locations, and the growing need for effective data connectivity.
Turning to discuss emerging trends, Odermatt added:
“You are trying to create an environment where you can upgrade software easily because the environment or the needs for software are changing even though the hardware doesn’t necessarily change[…] Different application software has to be upgraded to be adopted so really you have to have a platform that’s adaptable, that is ready for future applications and needs without having to rebuild completely. “
